Dr. Melissa Lane

Dr. Lane has experience conducting competency evaluations, providing competency restoration services, and working with patients’ legal teams and the court system.

She has provided acute psychiatric care for incarcerated individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health issues in forensic and correctional settings, including in New York City, Los Angeles, and New Jersey.

Dr. Lane provided competency restoration services in the Los Angeles County jail system to incarcerated individuals designated PC 1370.01 (Incompetent to stand trial for misdemeanor offenses).
