John Brodt, LPC
John Brodt has been engaged in the mental health field for nearly 15 years in a wide spectrum of psychological environments serving individuals of all ages. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor who completed his undergraduate studies at Albright College with a B.S. in Applied Psychology and Organizational Behavior. He continued his education at Chestnut Hill College and received a M.S. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. John has completed his coursework for his PhD in General Psychology and anticipates receiving his doctoral degree in 2021.
John began his mental health career helping individuals with severe persistent mental illness within a partial inpatient and residential setting. He then transitioned to an outpatient setting where he had the opportunity to focus on individual and couples counseling with adolescents and adults. John expanded his clinical work helping adolescents on the Autism spectrum and with behavioral issues within a residential and inpatient setting. He enjoys helping those struggling with addiction, anxiety/stress, depression, relationships, trauma, and LGBTQ concerns.
John has a down-to-earth counseling style focused on finding a way to improve your overall well-being in a way that works best for you. His therapeutic approach is grounded primarily in Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
